NAS STILL #ONE
dope cover
one of the best hip hop covers i've seen in recent memory.
A COVER IN ADEQUATION WITH THE WORDS ... probably ...No SURE!
NAS THE GOD'SON IZ BAKK !
CLASSICAL
YeaH-H,
God's Son Is Back
With The N (HEI'N'OUS)
On His Back !
Good Pic,
I would have seen well, with the folded arms, forcing to show the force at the same time as one sees the traces of whip, registering the end of slavery, The N !
The photo is quite dark, same the matter and idea goes with thus its goes… but a little more clearly its will have returned better… but right, maybe which will return better in truth.
ALBUM 9th !
9th World's Wonder !
Hip-Hop Wonder !
Peace
Technically speaking , the album is not tittles "N," the album is untittled, and he plans to leave it untittled, because he's nto submitting to no one. So, as a result, because the original tittle "NIGGER," was so controversial he decided to leave it untittled...get your facts right !!!!!!!!!!!!!! come test me!
YEAH I KNOW
BUT I SPEAK ABOUT THE N ON THE COVER
NAS DROPS AN EPONYME ALBUM CUZ HE WANTS THAT THE ALBUM COMING SOON AND HAVE NOT PROBLEMS WITH THE LABEL AND THE INDUSTRY
HE WANTS TO RUN THE STREETS
FOR ALL THE BROTHERS,
ALL THE PEOPLE, ALL THE HH HEADS!
PEACE HOMEY
To exploit the grotesque abuse black slaves went through for almost three hundred years just to sell an album is just despicable. This is not a visual image that commemorates the suffering of those who Nas should honor daily for their sacrifices, but it is meant to exploit the visual shock environment we currently live in in order to make mo' money, ghetto money, pimpin' money. But in the process, we demean that time in history, devalue their sacrifices, commodify their terror and abuse, we forget about their faces their families, and we now have replaced it all with a digitally altered image of Nas's back. Nas, you may not realize it now, but you have turned your back on your people for money...and what have you learned from all this? I do hope one day you will learn that you have now REALLY become a slave, a slave to money, and we all know who owns all the money...now don't we, Nas...
The imagery is no less shocking than when Levar Burton recieved lashings from his slave master in the scene from "Roots" or as did Denzel in "Glory".
If you're going to claim Nas is exploiting slavery with this album cover because he will make money from it thats fine but the same should be said about Denzel Washington, Danny Glover, Spike Lee, Alex Hailey, Sydney Portier, Cicely Tyson Oprah Winfrey, Maya Angelou etc. & every other actor, author, director, screen writer etc. who partook in books, documentaries & movies of the same content because if they stand to profit according to you i is an exploit of the events.
Remember the content of the album is in reflection of the cover not simply one to draw you in to hear him talk about, promiscuity, violence, drugs. jewelry, money & misogyny.
Give the brother credit for at least speaking on an issue of importance or throw those who do the same like I previously mentioned in the frey.
N! UNTITLED! WHATEVER! NAS STILL THA MAN! GODSON!
