I recently had the pleasure of interviewing the beautiful model & video vixen Chanta Patton who is the object of Kardinal Offishall's desire in his "Dangerous" video ft Akon & also the new Eye Candy currently gracing the cover of King Magazine's September issue. Read what real life "Dangerous" vixen had to tell me.
ICE: "I see the Autobiography of Malcolm X is your favorite book as it is mine, are you an avid reader? What do you recommend?"
Chanta: "Loved Malcolm X. I read a lot of books that will help me in some way like "Cooking With Rachel Ray" or "Interior Decorating On A Dime". I recommend reading any book that sets out to answer a question you may have."
ICE: "Also noticed you're a college grad, what school did you attend and what was your major?"
Chanta: "I attended Coppin State University and Applied Mathematics was my major."
ICE: "How was it growing up in Baltimore?"
Chanta: "I actually grew up in North Carolina but spent my teenage to adult years in B'More. It's an interesting city, no city like it anywhere!"
ICE: "You were Baltimore's Next Top Model did that result in an America's Next Top Model audition for you and if so how did it go?"
Chanta: "It did, I tried out in NY and didn't make it after two rounds of call backs."
ICE: "Since 'The Wire' uses B'More as it's backdrop were you a fan like me?
Chanta: "I was addicted to 'The Wire' !!! I love Omar..."
ICE: "And while on the subject of television, any tv or big screen roles on the horizon?"
Chanta: "Couple of short films headed to Cannes Film Festival in ' 09. But I'm going to be in a major motion in February but I can't say what film."
ICE: "Aside from your appearance in Kardinal Offishall & Akon's 'Dangerous' video & covering King Magazine's new September issue, what else have you done?"
Chanta: "Usher ft Young Jeezy - 'Make Love In this Club', Snoop Dog ft Too Short - 'Life of Da Party', Sean Garret ft Ludacris - 'Grippin On the Bed', Lil Wayne ft T-Pain - 'Got Money' (Soon To Be Released), Snoop Dog - 'Those Gurlz'(Soon To Be Released)"
ICE: "In the 'Dangerous' video, the character you are portraying is described in the hook as "Dangerous" & a "Bad Girl", what words have men used to describe you as?"
Chanta: "It's crazy because the video is 'Dangerous' and men have always said, "I gotta watch you!" I guess thats a sign of danger (laughs)."
ICE: "How many of Akon's rumored 7 wives were on the video set of 'Dangerous'? (laughs)"
Chanta: "No wives on the set (laughs)"
ICE: "Which one of your King covers do you like the best, the one that appeared in the 'Dangerous' video or the actual cover thats out? Think I know the answer to that."
Chanta: "Probably the video cover (see below) but the inside pics of me in King are crazy! On stands now!"

Chanta: "Plenty of guys and girls. I think it's hilarious!"
ICE: If it's not too personal what is your social status?
Chanta: "Single."
ICE: "Any celebrity crushes besides ICE of ICEDOTCOM ?"
Chanta: (Laughs) "Andre 3000 I must say. Huge fan."
ICE: "Assuming you are in support of Barack Obama in the 2008 Presidential election, were you a Hillary Clinton or Barack supporter prior to him receiving the Democratic nod?"
Chanta: "I'm an Obama girl and have been since day 1!"
ICE: "What words of advice & encouragement can you offer aspiring models & video models?"
Chanta: "Be aware of reputation, stay truly motivated and always strategize your next steps when your career is up or down."
ICE: "Is there anything you would like to say to all your adoring fans?"
Chanta: "I LOVE YOU ALL THISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS MUCH!"
